After our previous post we have to tell you that Nepkings will be coming to a end. Meaning the gaming platform will shut down and will maintain the status “Abandoned”. And our site will reach a maintenance mode soon. The reason why we are doing this will be explained.
The Nepkings project was a ambitious project, with a lot a great features and offerings. But since our vision is to big for a 1–2 man team without a big buck to spend we cannot reach the full potential. We need to shift the focus needs between so many places that results in poor or badly finished projects. Along with the fact we cannot deliver things on time. And therefore we have to decide that we will abandon Nepkings as gaming platform and organization.
But that says nothing about our future. Since Nepkings will not disappear completely. Our plans will continue but much smaller for the “Nepkings brand” itself. We want to become more of a simple community. Rather then becoming a platform, organization, community, hosting provider and clothing brand in one.
As planned before, Nepkings becomes a part of Kyngs to fulfill the forums along with becoming a simple gaming community. This does mean, we will continue the development for our Minecraft Server. And we are not gone.
To summarize: A lot of things will change, since we will need a less big of a infrastructure. And require less demands and needs. But opens up a lot of new opportunities. So stay tuned 🔥
